CCS master program at the University of Rennes 1
International mobility Students will perform their two study years in two different universities in two different countries among TU Berlin (Germany), University of Rennes 1 (France), KTH (Sweden), Aalto (Finland) and TU Delft (the Netherlands). For example: entry year at the university of Rennes 1 + exit year at KTH university (Sweden). Or: entry year at the Aalto university (Finland) + exit year at the university of Rennes 1. And so on… Students will perform both study years at the University of Rennes 1.
Study program
Both tracks feature exactly the same set of courses and projects.
Study language
100% of courses are delivered in English.
Summer school Students will attend a two-weeks summer school between their entry and exit year. All costs are covered by the EIT Digital master school Students may attend a two-weeks summer school between their entry and exit year but they will have to pay the travel and accommodation costs themselves.
Degree If successful, students will receive two master degrees (one from each university they studied in) and a certificate by EIT. If successful, students will receive a master degree from University of Rennes 1.
Tuition fees Detailed information about tuition fees is available on the master school web site. In short: E.U. citizens must pay €1,500/year; others must pay €12,000/year. Students will have to pay the standard tuition fees from public French universities. In short: E.U. citizens must pay €243/year; others must pay €3,770/year. [more information]
EIT Scholarships The EIT Digital master school offers generous scholarships to students with excellent applications. EIT Digital scholarships are not available.
Other scholarships
There exists other forms of scholarships which may be available depending on each student’s situation.
Accommodation Students must pay for accommodation. The university of Rennes 1 however guarantees access to inexpensive student rooms (in the order of €160-250/month depending on the type of room). Students can also apply for state subsidies which partially cover these costs. The accommodation options in other universities vary, please contact them directly for accurate information. Students must pay for accommodation. The same types of inexpensive student rooms might be available, but with no guarantee. Alternative accommodation is available on the private market with costs in the order of €400-500/month depending on the type of accommodation. The same type of state subsidies are also available under the same conditions.
Application deadline There are two possible deadlines: February 1st 2019, or April 15th 2019. We strongly recommend non-E.U. students to apply within the first deadline so we have sufficient time to handle visa applications. TBD

Rejoining the EIT Digital master school

Students registered in this track will be offered the possibility to apply to the EIT Digital master school (and to EIT Digital scholarships) shortly after the beginning of the 1st semester. If their application is successful, they will become regular EIT Digital master school students.
